My Original vs. Cover #1

Okay, This will be the first of many to come (hopefully). I was looking on Youtube for some of my favorite music. And I was listening to The Tindersticks: If You’re Looking For A Way Out. One of my favorite songs by The Tindersticks on their 1999 album, Simple Pleasure. But to my surprise… I saw another version on Youtube and found out that The Tindersticks made a cover version of the song! The original is by Odyssey. A New York based disco dance band in the years 1977 to about 1985. And I must say, the original is great too! Listen:

Since this is not the first time I get surprised by great music not being the original version… I thought I will make an item of great found Covers and their originals, or vice versa. This was the first one.
